Training To Be An Instructor

Member number 3822

I am currently an associate instructor for the Long Island CW Club. It means that I am going through the club’s process to become an instructor. I am currently slotted to teach Beginners Carousel 3, a syllabus intended for new Morse Code operators who just learned all their characters. The whole purpose of which is to get the students to get on the air.

Since I reside in Southern California, my class times will be best suited for the WC (West Coast). The day and time are not yet set; however, it will be in the evening, making the time more convenient for those operators that work during the day. Considering that I am retired, the time will be after my nappy-time ensuring I am fresh for my students!

Stay tuned…

US-1139 Chino Hills State Park – A Horse with My Name

Activated on New Year’s Day, 2025 Rio de Los Angeles State Park was my first location for a New Year activation. I then remembered that the park is run by L.A. County and they are not open on holidays. No, I’m not bitter…well, maybe just a smidge. Because I wanted all my antenna options available…
