Training To Be An Instructor

Member number 3822

I am currently an associate instructor for the Long Island CW Club. It means that I am going through the club’s process to become an instructor. I am currently slotted to teach Beginners Carousel 3, a syllabus intended for new Morse Code operators who just learned all their characters. The whole purpose of which is to get the students to get on the air.

Since I reside in Southern California, my class times will be best suited for the WC (West Coast). The day and time are not yet set; however, it will be in the evening, making the time more convenient for those operators that work during the day. Considering that I am retired, the time will be after my nappy-time ensuring I am fresh for my students!

Stay tuned…

Activated on March 24th, 2025 It’s only been four days since my last activation, but I’ve been hankerin’ to do a beach activation for a while. Since it was a Monday, I figured there would not be too many folks at the beach. So, I headed out to US-3426 Doheny State Beach which is a…
